Commune constellation

What do you think?

The ideal of the common

The idea of the common evaporates the moment it leaves our minds. The ideal of the common, this utopia, requires a considerable and constant effort: to show empathy by fighting against one’s own cognitive biases in one’s perception of others, of oneself, of their environment and of ours. And in order to achieve a glimpse of this model, this exercise must not be allowed to slacken.

Each individual must then demonstrate a constant questioning because the human being is changeable, evolving according to his environment and his confrontations with his peers. Because human nature is changing, so are our societies. In line with this observation, we should align our behaviour with this idea of perpetual adjustment, never taking anything for granted, and being humble enough to accept that we will never achieve perfection, either as individuals or as a social organisation. It is then necessary to make allowances for ourselves and for others to keep the movement going, not to face dead ends.

It is this justice of spirit, in the sense of a justly placed spirit, that allows for a tension-free dialogue between equality and equity. But it is also this duo, in my view, which in a reciprocal relationship, allows the establishment of this spirit.
